The data
Where does the carrier data come from?
From the FMCSA's public registry: the company census (USDOT numbers, addresses, phone, email, fleet size) and the authority and insurance files (MC authority, grant dates, insurance). We check the official datasets regularly and keep only active carriers with operating authority.
How new is a "new authority"?
We show carriers by the date their carrier authority was granted, newest first. FMCSA publishes most changes within a few days; once it's in their files, it usually shows up in HaulBloom within a day.
How often do the weekly numbers on the site update?
The weekly counts cover a full Monday to Sunday week and update every Monday. The carrier list itself is refreshed much more often, so new grants appear there first. The FMCSA adds some grants a few days late, so the latest week can still grow a little.
Which states do you cover?
Every US state. You can browse new authorities by state, and filter by state, truck count and status inside HaulBloom.
Is every phone number and email right?
They are what the carrier gave the FMCSA, so most are right but some are out of date. Many new carriers list their filing agent's email instead of their own; we flag those so you can leave them out of exports and campaigns.
Can't I just download this from the FMCSA myself?
You can. The data is public. Then you own a pipeline: the FMCSA publishes five separate datasets that don't line up with each other, so you would write the sync, the dedupe, the retries and the schedule before your first call. HaulBloom does that for you, flags which email belongs to the carrier and which to a filing agent, and keeps your team's statuses and follow-ups on top.
Isn't the data the same as everyone else's?
Yes, and that is not what you are buying. You are paying for everything around the data: knowing which email belongs to the carrier and which to the filing agent, your team not calling the same number twice, statuses and follow-ups, and a customer list that stops a carrier you already signed from showing up again as a lead.
Why not buy a cheaper lead list?
A list is a file, and a file is a snapshot. By the time it reaches you, the best names have usually been called, and it has no idea who on your team already rang which number. HaulBloom is a live view of the FMCSA data with your team's work recorded on top of it.
Why does it matter that a carrier is new?
A carrier that got authority this week usually has no broker relationships yet, and that window is days, not months. A monthly file is cut after that window has largely closed. Seeing carriers by grant date, newest first, lets you reach them while it is still open.
Why not use a general contact database like Apollo or ZoomInfo?
General databases are built around companies and people. HaulBloom is built around the FMCSA authority grant date, so you can see which trucking companies became new carriers this week, not only that a trucking company exists.
Is it legal to call and email these carriers?
The data is public, and calling a business about a service it may need is normal B2B prospecting. The rules still apply to you: honor do-not-call requests, check the National Do Not Call Registry where it applies, do not use autodialers, prerecorded messages or texts without consent, and follow CAN-SPAM for email. HaulBloom adds your postal address and an unsubscribe link to campaign emails and keeps a do-not-email list for your workspace, but staying within the law is up to you.
Who is responsible for how I use the data?
You are. You are responsible for every call, email and message you send, and for following the laws and rules that apply to you. HaulBloom provides public FMCSA records as they are published, with no guarantee that they are complete, current or correct. It is not legal advice, and we do not promise any result, such as calls answered, clients won or revenue. Our liability is limited as set out in our Terms of Service.
HaulBloom basics
Who is HaulBloom for?
Dispatchers and small dispatch teams who want to reach newly authorized carriers early. Solo is built for one person, and Outreach for a team of up to 5 working from one shared list.
How does it work day to day?
Open your list of new authorities in your states, call a carrier, set a status and add a note. Pick a follow-up date and the carrier comes back to your list that day. When a carrier becomes your client, mark it as a customer and it leaves your lists, exports and emails.
How does a team avoid calling the same carrier twice?
Everyone works from one shared list. Setting a status or taking a carrier puts your name on it, and teammates see it straight away. On the Outreach plan you can assign carriers to people, and the call sheet skips carriers someone else owns.
What is the call sheet?
On the Outreach plan, the call sheet shows one carrier at a time. You call, then record the outcome with keys 1 to 5 (no answer, call back, interested, not interested, customer), set a follow-up if you need one, and move straight to the next carrier.
Can I save lists of carriers?
On the Outreach plan you can save up to 50 lists, for example one per state or per kind of carrier, and come back to them any time.
Can I check a list of MC numbers I already have?
Yes, on paid plans. Paste or upload MC, USDOT, MX or FF numbers and HaulBloom fills in each carrier's details and status, ready to export or work. Imports take up to 200 numbers on Solo and 1,000 on Outreach. Each number uses one of your monthly carriers, once per month, the same as opening it.
Can I download carriers to Excel or CSV?
Yes, on paid plans. Solo exports up to 200 rows at a time and Outreach up to 1,000. Exporting a carrier's phone and email uses one of your monthly carriers, once per month, like opening it. Customers are left out of exports.
Can I email carriers from HaulBloom?
Yes, on Solo and Outreach. Write one email with merge tags like the carrier's name and MC number, and HaulBloom sends a personal copy to each carrier from your own mailbox, one at a time at a safe pace. Solo sends up to 30 a day from 1 mailbox; Outreach up to 100 a day each from 2 mailboxes. Replies go to your inbox. Every email carries your postal address and an unsubscribe link, anyone who unsubscribes is never emailed again, and each workspace keeps its own do-not-email list.
What happens to carriers who become my customers?
Mark them as customers and they disappear from every list, export and campaign, so nobody calls them as a stranger. Solo and Outreach keep a customer list so you can find them again.
Is my team's data private and safe?
Each team works in its own workspace, and other teams cannot see your statuses, notes or lists. Mailbox passwords are stored encrypted. Each plan has a limit on how many devices can be signed in, and a device you remove is signed out on its next request.
Plans and billing
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The Free plan shows a preview of the newest authorities and 15 carriers a month with their phone and email, with no card needed. Upgrade for more carriers a month, statuses, notes and follow-ups, exports and email campaigns.
What counts toward my monthly carriers?
Browsing, searching and filtering are free, and you can see whether a carrier has a phone or an email before you spend anything. Seeing the actual phone or email uses one carrier from your month. That is the same whether you open it, export it, add it to a call sheet, email it in a campaign or look its number up. The same carrier counts once a month, then it's free again. The count resets every month.
Why do I pay per carrier?
Because you only pay for what you use. You can tell at a glance whether a carrier has a phone or an email before spending anything. You pay when you take the details, once per carrier per month, and never twice for the same one.
What is the difference between Solo and Outreach?
Solo is for one person: 1,000 carriers a month, statuses, notes and follow-ups, a customer list, number checks, Excel and CSV exports, and email campaigns from 1 mailbox. Outreach is for teams of up to 5 and adds assigned carriers, saved lists, the call sheet, 10,000 carriers a month, 2 mailboxes and bigger imports and exports. Need more? Choose Custom and we will talk.
How many people can use one account?
Free and Solo are for one person. Outreach includes 5 people. If you need more, choose Custom and we will talk.
Can I change or cancel my plan?
Any time, from Settings. Upgrades start straight away and you pay the difference for the rest of the period. Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the period you've paid for, and you keep everything until then.
Do you give refunds?
No. Plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance and are not refunded, in full or in part. When you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
What if a payment fails?
We let you know and retry the card. You keep your plan for 1 day while you update it; after that the workspace moves to Free until a payment goes through. Your data is kept.
How do yearly plans work?
Pay for a year up front and get two months free compared with paying monthly. Taxes are added at checkout where they apply.
